Hello Wealth Club! We’re in the culture of “locking in”, developing a “grind mindset” & “all I do is win”. Resilience, grit & determination are celebrated attributes. But losing, can often be more impactful than constantly winning.

Steve Jobs was ousted from Apple before returning, Colonel Sanders started KFC at 65, Henry Ford founded Ford after two failed motor businesses, Walt Disney was fired from his newspaper job & Arianna Huffington had 36 publishers reject her.

A curse behind serial success is “invincibility syndrome”. You actually don’t possess the survival skills to withstand adversity so you must win at all costs. Inevitably you soak up endless time, resources & energy resuscitating ventures on life support that are destined to die quickly. The opportunity cost of “success” is everything you could have achieved if you failed fast instead.

It takes a deep level of self awareness & maturity to be able to say “this actually isn’t for me” & “I’m destined for something much bigger”. Fancy job titles, shiny office buildings & wearing a wool suit to work have all the ingredients of traditional success. You must be doing something important, right? It’s easy to dismiss that you may actually be soaking up your best years on Zoom calls, firing off unread mails, sitting in traffic & pointless coffee chats. What success should look like has us in a chokehold & suffocates personal potential.

Failure is the inability to launch. A life spent never knowing what you’re truly capable of. Giving your best efforts to everything - but your own self development.

To win the at things right for you… you first need to lose the things that are wrong for you.
